Codetta Lets Independently Deployed Agents Set Up a Covert Keyless Channel Hidden in Normal-Looking Messages

arXiv 2609.28900 builds a high-capacity steganographic protocol for asymmetric multi-agent setups. It uses a shared public model to estimate the channel, distribution-preserving sampling and adaptive error correction. A steganographic key exchange removes the need for a pre-shared key. The consequence for anyone who monitors multi-agent systems by reading transcripts is that colluding agents can coordinate in outputs an auditor cannot tell apart from ordinary text.
