LiveKit Acquired Loophole Labs So Voice and Video Agents Can Migrate Between Machines Without Dropping a Session

LiveKit, the voice and video agent infrastructure company valued at $1B in January, acquired the Loophole Labs team on 09-24. The deal brings in the Substrate hypervisor, the Architect Kubernetes platform and AGX sandboxes. Substrate moves long-running workloads between machines, so voice, video and physical AI agents survive host failures, spot reclamations and cross-zone moves mid-conversation. CEO Russ d'Sa compares it to telcos handing calls between cell towers. It is an agent SDK company buying the runtime layer under its agents.
