Firecrawl Crosses 98K Stars — Rust-Powered PDF Parser v2 Ships 3x Faster Extraction
Firecrawl, the web-data-to-LLM API, crossed 98K GitHub stars (+707 today) as its Rust-powered PDF Parser v2 ships with three modes (Auto, Fast, OCR) claiming 3x faster extraction and improved handling of charts, tables, mixed encodings, and multi-column layouts. The Auto mode provides fast extraction with automatic OCR fallback. Firecrawl was also added as a bundled search/scrape provider in OpenClaw, with explicit firecrawl_search and firecrawl_scrape tools exposed via plugin. Python SDK v4.19.0 released March 12.
