Google Stitch introduced DESIGN.md, a markdown-format file that exports design system rules (colors, typography, spacing, component patterns) in a format explicitly designed for AI coding agents. You can extract a design system from any URL, export it as DESIGN.md, then import it into Claude Code or Cursor as context. This is the design equivalent of CLAUDE.md — a structured context file that bridges the design-to-code gap. Place it alongside your CLAUDE.md to give coding agents both architectural and design system awareness.
