Within 24 hours of each other (March 24-25), both Anthropic (Claude Code auto mode) and Cursor (self-hosted cloud agents with autonomous execution) shipped features that delegate execution permission decisions away from the human developer. Claude Code uses an AI classifier; Cursor uses isolated VMs. Two different architectural answers to the same problem: developers skip permissions because the approval loop is too slow.
