OpenClaw v2026.3.22 dropped March 23 with 12 breaking changes and 45 new features. ClawHub replaces npm as the default plugin source — the framework-to-platform transition is concrete. Default agent timeout jumped from 10 minutes to 48 hours, fixing long-running sessions silently dying at 600 seconds. Bundled web-search providers (Exa, Tavily, Firecrawl) ship out of the box and a new anthropic-vertex provider enables Claude-via-GCP. All legacy CLAWDBOT_* and MOLTBOT_* env vars are removed — agents using old configs will fail to start. For builders on OpenClaw, this is a mandatory migration.
