AWS Bedrock AgentCore Gets Managed Session Storage — Persistent Filesystem State Across Agent Sessions
Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Runtime now supports managed session storage in public preview, allowing agents to persist filesystem state across stop and resume cycles with up to 1GB per session and 14-day idle retention. Each session runs in a dedicated microVM with isolated resources, maintaining session context via Mcp-Session-Id headers. Combined with shell command execution support, this moves AgentCore closer to a stateful agent hosting platform rather than just an inference endpoint.
