arXiv: Agentic AI Occupational Displacement — 93.2% of Information Occupations Exceed Moderate-Risk Threshold by 2030
Gupta and Kumar introduce the Agentic Task Exposure (ATE) score measuring displacement risk from autonomous AI agents capable of executing complete workflows, not just discrete tasks. Analyzing 236 occupations across six information-intensive sectors in five US tech hubs (Seattle, SF Bay, Austin, NYC, Boston), they find 93.2% will exceed moderate-risk thresholds by 2030, with credit analysts, judges, and sustainability specialists at highest risk (ATE 0.43-0.47). The paper identifies 17 emerging job categories in human-AI collaboration and AI governance.
