Microsoft 365 Federated MCP Connectors Reach General Availability with Canva, HubSpot, Google Calendar

Microsoft is bringing federated Copilot connectors using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to GA in Microsoft 365 Copilot in April 2026. Admin configuration rollout completes April 20 with a 7-day review window; user rollout begins end of April. Initial connectors include Canva, HubSpot, and Google Calendar. The scope expands from the Researcher agent to Copilot Chat and Agent Mode in Excel. Data stays in third-party systems — no indexing in Microsoft services — with access under user identity. This is the largest MCP deployment surface in enterprise software.
