Fortune: 44% of Gen Z Workers Admit Actively Sabotaging Their Company's AI Rollout
Fortune·medium signal
A survey of 2,400 knowledge workers across the US, UK, and Europe found 29% of all employees admit to sabotaging their company's AI strategy — but that number jumps to 44% among Gen Z workers. Sabotage methods include entering proprietary information into public AI tools, using unapproved tools, tampering with performance reviews, and intentionally generating low-output work to make AI appear less effective. 30% cited FOBO (fear of becoming obsolete) as their primary motivation.
