Gartner: Successful AI Organizations Invest 4x More in Data and Analytics Foundations
A new Gartner report published April 16 finds that organizations with successful AI initiatives invest up to four times more in data and analytics foundations than their peers. This follows Gartner's earlier finding that only 28% of AI use cases in I&O fully meet ROI expectations, with 57% of 782 surveyed I&O leaders reporting at least one AI project failure. The consistent message: the bottleneck isn't model capability but data infrastructure — organizations rushing to deploy AI without fixing their data foundations are systematically failing.
