GitHub Copilot CLI Autopilot Mode Enters Public Preview: Agents Self-Approve Tool Calls, Auto-Retry on Errors, Run Until Task Completion

Autopilot mode, now in public preview across all paid Copilot plans, lets agents approve their own tool calls, automatically retry on errors, and keep working until a task is done without requiring permission at every step. Combined with the new --mode, --autopilot, and --plan flags shipped in CLI v1.0.23 (April 10), developers can start directly in a specific agent mode from the terminal. This shifts Copilot CLI from interactive assistant to autonomous task executor.
