SK Hynix Begins Mass Production of 192GB SOCAMM2 for NVIDIA Vera Rubin — 2x Bandwidth, 75% Better Power Efficiency
SK Hynix announced mass production of the 192GB SOCAMM2 memory module on April 20, built on 1cnm-class LPDDR5X DRAM and designed specifically for NVIDIA's Vera Rubin AI server platform. The module delivers more than double the bandwidth and over 75% better power efficiency than conventional RDIMM memory, adapting mobile-class low-power memory for datacenter AI workloads. This directly addresses the memory bottleneck in training and inference for hundred-billion-parameter LLMs — a key constraint for the next generation of AI infrastructure.
