OpenAI introduced workspace agents in ChatGPT, allowing teams to create shared, always-on agents powered by Codex that handle complex tasks, write code, use connected apps, remember context, and run on schedules. Agents can be deployed in Slack and continue work across multiple steps even when users are offline. Available in research preview for Business, Enterprise, Edu, and Teachers plans, free until May 6 when credit-based pricing begins.
