Kaku v0.9 Ships — Rust-Built macOS Terminal Designed for AI Coding With Natural Language Commands and Error Recovery
Kaku, a deeply customized WezTerm fork built for AI coding workflows, shipped v0.9 'Spark' on April 4, 2026 and has reached 4,662 stars on GitHub. Built in Rust by tw93, Kaku features natural language-to-command translation (type '# description' at the prompt), automatic error recovery via Cmd+Shift+E, and built-in settings management for Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Copilot CLI, and Kimi Code. Currently macOS-only, it targets developers who live in the terminal and want AI assistance baked into the shell experience rather than bolted on.
