ClawCoin: AI-Native Cryptocurrency for Decentralized Agent Economies — Compute-Cost-Indexed Settlement Layer

Li et al. (arXiv:2604.19026, April 21) introduce ClawCoin, a tokenized compute-cost-indexed unit of account for decentralized agent economies. The four-layer architecture includes a basket index over standardized AI compute prices, an oracle publishing signed attestations, a NAV-based mint/redeem vault with coverage thresholds and rate limits, and on-chain settlement for multi-hop agent delegations. This is the first serious academic treatment of how autonomous agents would pay each other for services.
