Lovable's AI Agent Found a Concurrent Map-Access Bug in Google's WireGuard Integration for GKE
Lovable's agent, given access to Clickhouse logs, surfaced that anetd pods in their Google Kubernetes Engine cluster were restarting ~120 times per pod over 6 days. Root cause: a concurrent map-access panic in Google's WireGuard integration code — multiple goroutines reading/writing without locking. Fixing that revealed a hidden secondary issue: MTU mismatch (1420 vs 1500 bytes) on un-restarted nodes. A concrete example of AI agents finding production infrastructure bugs humans missed.
