Simon Willison added a wildlife sightings feature to his blog, built entirely on his phone using Claude Code for web while camping. The feature imports iNaturalist photos into his blog's timeline via a custom 'inaturalist-clumper' Python CLI that groups observations within 2 hours and 5km of each other. He back-populated over a decade of sightings, so searching 'lemur' surfaces photos from Madagascar in 2019. Another demonstration of phone-first AI development as a practical workflow.
