CopilotKit closed a $27M Series A (Glilot Capital, NFX, SignalFire) on May 5, alongside launching CopilotKit Enterprise Intelligence — a self-hostable offering for deploying agents within apps. Their open-source AG-UI protocol, which standardizes bidirectional agent-to-frontend communication (streaming chat, front-end tool calls, state sharing), is now adopted by Google, LangChain, AWS, Microsoft, Mastra, and PydanticAI. For builders shipping agent UIs, AG-UI is rapidly becoming the wire protocol to build against.
