Bloomberg reports Apple is building an 'Extensions' feature for iOS 27 that lets users select third-party AI models from Google (Gemini) and Anthropic (Claude) to power Apple Intelligence features including Siri, Writing Tools, and Image Playground. Users will also be able to assign different voices for queries handled by Apple's system versus external models. The feature is slated for WWDC announcement on June 8 and fall release — a major distribution channel for AI model providers.
