Nasdaq's new Fast Entry rule, effective May 1, 2026, allows large IPOs with market cap in the top 40 of existing Nasdaq-100 components to enter the index after just 15 trading days instead of the prior multi-quarter wait. S&P Dow Jones Indices is contemplating a parallel rule reducing S&P 500 admission from 12 months to 6 and waiving profitability requirements for mega-IPOs.
