Scissero launched Suzie Law on May 7, an open-source legal AI assistant for drafting, knowledge search, and workflow-specific legal tooling, built in collaboration with Team Suzie which provides the reusable agent loop, chat shell, document tooling, persona system, and UI primitives. CEO Mathias Strasser explicitly stated 'Baseline legal AI should be free,' with Scissero planning to monetize proprietary layers above the open-source foundation. This is the second open-source legal AI platform in weeks (after Will Chen's Mike), signaling a new wave of open-source vertical AI.
