Applied Computing raised a $20 million Series A for a foundation model built to run an entire oil and gas plant, per TechCrunch.
Most industrial AI never gets past single-asset predictive maintenance, because sensor data from separate units doesn't get unified. If Applied Computing's model works at whole-facility scale, plant operators could watch cross-unit risk instead of one asset at a time.
