LiveDemo took the No. 3 spot with 332 votes; Mirage landed No. 4 with 238, pitching a 90-second clickable demo builder.
Why now: Both LiveDemo and Mirage hit Product Hunt's July 18 leaderboard, the most recent read on how fast this category got cloned.
LiveDemo landed at No. 3 on Product Hunt's July 18 leaderboard, pitching itself as an open-source stand-in for Storylane, Navattic, and Arcade, and naming all three in its tagline.
One spot down, Mirage pulled 238 votes with a similar pitch: turn any SaaS product into a clickable demo in 90 seconds. Two teams cloning the same three incumbents on one day is a bigger problem for the incumbents than for either clone.
Interactive demo software was a defensible, venture-backed niche eighteen months ago. It's a weekend build now, because capturing and reconstructing a UI flow is exactly what AI got good at.
Storylane, Navattic, and Arcade had eighteen months without a competitor. Two teams closed that gap in a single day. Worth watching: whether LiveDemo or Mirage can differentiate from the other, since two open clones of the same three products are unlikely to both survive.
The Product Hunt leaderboard doesn't say what retention looks like for either product a quarter from now. Vote counts measure launch-day curiosity, not whether anyone still pays for this later.
