Go and Ruby Ship Native AI SDKs

goai gives Go a single API across 21-plus AI providers with zero external dependencies, per its GitHub repo. That's a real constraint for Go developers, who usually need a stack of dependencies just to cover multiple providers. goai's pitch is that you don't have to accept that trade to get one interface over 21-plus vendors.

The project, from zendev-sh, has picked up 168 stars and handles streaming, structured output and MCP support using nothing but Go's standard library.

A different SDK made a different bet the same week. r-uby-dev/llm, a Ruby AI runtime with 136 stars, leads its own project tags with a2a, a2a-client and agent2agent. Agent2Agent protocol support is usually an add-on, but Ruby's early AI tooling makes it the headline feature.

Both projects are still early, and neither ecosystem usually gets this kind of native AI tooling attention. Python and JavaScript dominate most AI SDK coverage. That Go and Ruby developers are building their own tooling instead signals something: they don't want to just wrap someone else's Python client.
