Wistron opened a 324,000-square-foot plant in Fort Worth to build NVIDIA AI systems, according to NVIDIA's own account of the site.
It's a rare domestic assembly point in a supply chain that's been almost entirely Taiwan- and Mexico-based for high-end AI servers. Every inference provider queueing for NVIDIA hardware sits downstream of that geography. Domestic capacity is one of the few levers that can move lead times without new fab capacity elsewhere.
NVIDIA's post doesn't give a production timeline. It also doesn't say how many systems the Fort Worth line can turn out compared to the offshore plants. That leaves no way to tell whether this changes the queue for providers already waiting.
Watch whether other contract manufacturers open their own US assembly lines over the next few quarters. If none do, this plant reads as a single customer's arrangement with NVIDIA, not a supply chain shift.
If your provider's lead times on NVIDIA systems have been slipping, this plant won't shorten the wait on hardware already ordered. It's a sign of where the next domestic option might come from.
