v2.1.217 fixed truncated MCP tool output retaining the full untruncated result for the rest of the session. If your servers return database dumps, log queries or scraped pages, long sessions were accumulating retained heap invisibly, on top of a separately-fixed quadratic message-normalization slowdown. Multi-hour sluggishness was an infrastructure bug, not context bloat. Upgrade before you re-engineer your tool outputs.
