Devin Desktop Adds a Toggle to Hide AI Commits

Devin Desktop's July release adds a flag that strips Devin's name from commit messages, per the changelog on releasebot.io.

Anyone scanning git blame for commits Devin wrote loses a signal they used to get automatically. Teams with policies requiring disclosure of tool-written commits now have to enforce that by hand instead of reading it off the log.

The tool used to be called Windsurf. It became Devin Desktop on June 2, so July's release notes are the first full month under the new name.

The same update lets you set a default model per subagent instead of a single setting. If you're running a fleet of subagents, cheap models for grunt work and an expensive one for orchestration, that split is a cost lever.

Three smaller changes round out the notes. The MCP registry cache now warms during startup, so servers are ready sooner instead of connecting cold. The client surfaces Devin ACU usage directly. And on Windows, bash now resolves to Git Bash instead of the old WSL launcher stub.
