The collaboration will produce evidence-based resources for parents covering healthy AI use, signs adult intervention is needed and over-dependence risks, plus materials for clinicians and school psychologists on spotting unhealthy usage patterns. Planned research covers age-appropriate design, how systems should respond when a young person shows distress, and how to route toward human relationships and professional support. Builds on existing work with 260+ mental health experts alongside crisis resources, break reminders, parental controls and age prediction.
