The grill-me skill for Claude Code interviews you about a loose idea in rounds instead of one question at a time, per a write-up on aihero.dev. It resurfaced on r/ClaudeAI and picked up 113 upvotes, even though the source page dates back to April 2026.
The trick is in the sequencing. Every question whose prerequisites you've already settled gets asked together in the same round, so the interview never stalls on a decision you haven't made yet. The skill is stateless and writes no files, built to push you toward a commitment rather than collect notes.
Per the write-up, the signal that it's working is you pushing back on its suggestions, or a decision you hadn't realized you'd made surfacing on its own. The failure mode is the opposite: nodding along with whatever it proposes.
The batching is the real idea here, not the interview format. Ask questions in a fixed sequence and you stall the moment you hit one you can't answer yet. Group by what's already settled instead, and the interview keeps moving no matter where someone gets stuck.
