Claude Code users are scheduling around the usage clock

A $100-plan Claude Code user hit the 5-hour usage limit far faster than usual, per a Reddit thread with 64 upvotes and 52 comments.

That matters because the quota bucket spans Claude Code, chat, and Cowork, so usage anywhere else quietly drains coding capacity. The temporary 50% higher weekly limits are set to expire August 19.

The complaint wasn't isolated. Two other r/ClaudeAI threads in the same 24 hours were about the clock instead of the model.

One described a cron job built to shift the 5-hour window. Another was relief that auto-retry kicks in automatically at reset.

Three threads, one day, all about time management instead of output quality.

The "something changed" claim has no confirmation, and can just as easily be usage drift from a busier week.

One complaint is more likely ordinary usage drift than a policy change. Watch whether gripes like this multiply after August 19, when the boosted weekly limits expire. If they do, that's the real shift, not noise from one busy plan.
