The write-up credits AGENTS.md files per repo for turning one-off infrastructure code into reusable templates, but admits syntax recall is fading.
Why now: The write-up carries an August 2026 dateline and no sharper timestamp.
AI took the lookup grind out of writing Terraform and Helm, not the thinking, according to a platform engineer's field report. That matters for anyone running infrastructure across more than one cloud provider, since Terraform and Helm syntax shifts between AWS, Kubernetes, and Cloudflare Containers.
He generates Helm charts and Terraform modules across AWS, ECS Fargate, Lambda, Kubernetes, and Cloudflare Containers. He always iterates before anything reaches production. Each repo carries an AGENTS.md file, so output from one project becomes a starting template for the next instead of a one-off script nobody reuses.
He doesn't put a number on time saved anywhere in the write-up. That's unusual for an infrastructure-as-code claim, which usually leans on a percentage to make its case.
He does name a cost. His own recall of Terraform and Helm syntax is fading, along with his debugging fundamentals. He's trading manual fluency for template fluency, and admits it rather than pretending the tradeoff isn't happening.
