The errors affected Mythos 5, Fable 5 and Opus 5 starting at 04:50 UTC, with Opus 5 and Fable 5 stabilizing first. Anthropic marked the incident resolved at 08:30 UTC. That thread became the hub where users tracked the incident as it unfolded.
A separate thread from August 24 described three prompts that each returned a "server is busy" error. Together they burned 23% of one user's usage limit before any response came back.
