The Product Hunt launch scores commit complexity to flag AI spend that doesn't match the roadmap.
Why now: Navigara reached third place on Product Hunt on August 24.
Navigara launched on Product Hunt on August 24, pitching a dashboard that reads a codebase's commit history and scores the complexity of each change. It then maps that token spend onto specific roadmap items, splitting engineering budgets into work that matches the plan and work that doesn't.
This kind of product couldn't have existed a year ago. Engineering leaders have an AI line item big enough to justify a dedicated analytics product built around auditing it.
Navigara assumes a specific failure mode: engineers using AI tools to build things nobody asked for, or treating maintenance work like roadmap work. Whether commit-level complexity scoring holds up against tangled git history, squashed merges, mixed-purpose commits, refactors bundled with features, is an open question. A Product Hunt listing doesn't answer it, and Navigara doesn't say how accurate its scoring is or which languages it supports.
Navigara is a bet that AI coding spend is large enough, and hard enough to attribute, for engineering leaders to pay for a roadmap-line breakdown.
