Routebase's OpenAPI spec drives mocks, docs, security scans and monitoring, with a built-in MCP server for AI agents.
Why now: Routebase posted to Show HN on August 26, with pricing already set at $9, $19 and $39 a seat.
Berlin-based Routebase launched an API platform on Show HN August 26, consolidating Postman-style testing, Swagger-style docs, mocking and uptime monitoring into one OpenAPI spec.
Agents are meant to run most of that spec themselves, from editing to monitoring. Routebase still charges by human seat, at $9, $19 and $39 a month, with a 25-seat minimum for its enterprise tier.
A visual editor sits over that spec, generating mock servers, test suites and a docs portal from the same source. Drift and breaking-change monitors watch for gaps between the spec and the live API. Every piece reads from the same file instead of a separate config.
The same spec drives security scans, and a built-in MCP server is how agents work it, the same way a teammate would.
