Anthropic closed the issue asking it to stop appending Claude session URLs to commit messages.

Issue #66504, opened June 9, asked that session-URL injection into commit messages and PR descriptions be opt-in. It was closed August 31 with 103 reactions and 23 comments (GitHub). The default writes a link back to a Claude session into permanent git history without asking. If your repos are public or your employer reviews commit metadata, go check what has been going into your history since June.
