Version 0.0.22 pulls in opencode sessions too, and resumes them on whatever model you've set in Cline, not the one that wrote them.
Why now: Cline's 0.0.22 release makes it the third coding tool in two weeks to build an import on this same assumption.
Cline Desktop 0.0.22 adds an Import button that pulls in Claude Code, Codex, and opencode session history, according to the desktop-v0.0.22 release notes. It converts selected conversations into resumable Cline sessions, grouped per source tool, with search across title, folder, and first prompt.
Resumed sessions run on whatever provider and model you've configured in Cline, not the one that wrote them. The history carries over; the model that generated it doesn't.
The picker marks sessions you've already imported, so re-scanning doesn't duplicate them.
Cline is the third tool in two weeks to bet on the same thing. Claude Code, Codex, and opencode all write session logs to disk in a format stable enough to parse. Nobody asked the source tools for permission; the formats just held still long enough to reverse engineer.
The release notes don't say whether the import is one-way, or whether Cline writes anything back to the source tool's log format.
