Why now: GitWarren's MCP server was already answering Claude Code and Codex about their diffs as of September 6, with no shared-branch review yet.
GitWarren reviews committed, staged, unstaged and untracked changes with inline comments, before anything reaches GitHub. The gap between an agent finishing a task and a dirty worktree becoming a commit didn't exist as a product category eighteen months ago.
It's GPL-3.0, runs at version 0.1.5, and needs no account and no server. It also runs an MCP server over stdio with seventeen tools. Claude Code or Codex can sit inside the review thread for the diff they just wrote, answering questions about it inline.
Every code review tool I've used assumes a hosted repo and a PR number to hang comments on. Not GitWarren. It comments directly on a working tree that hasn't been pushed anywhere.
Read the agent's diff in GitWarren before it becomes a commit, while it's still a working tree. Whether GitWarren stays a solo habit depends on one feature it doesn't have. It reviews a single machine's working tree, not a shared branch a team could use together.
