The free menu-bar app feeds nine Apple apps to over 20 AI clients through MCP, capped at 50 shared actions a week.
Why now: Pomeroy posted to Show HN on September 8.
Pomeroy v1 monetizes the macOS dialog that grants Mail, Calendar, and Contacts access, per its September 8 Show HN post. No hosted MCP gateway can trigger that TCC prompt, the one-time system dialog macOS shows before any app can touch a user's contacts or calendar. That leaves Pomeroy's free tier feeding nine native apps to more than 20 AI clients on the strength of a local install alone.
The menu-bar app asks for permission to Mail, Calendar, Reminders, Notes, Contacts, iMessage, Maps, Shortcuts, and Weather. It relays all nine over MCP to clients including Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Copilot, and Codex.
Access requires macOS 15 or later, no account, and no card. The free tier caps at 50 actions a week, shared across every assistant wired into it. Pointing Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot at Pomeroy at once burns through that quota faster than the number suggests.
Pomeroy hasn't said what a paid tier costs or when it arrives.

First major enterprise observability platform to ship a production-grade MCP server. Feeds live logs, metrics, and traces directly into Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot, and VS Code. AI coding agents can now investigate production issues using real-time telemetry. MC...
19,659 stars since February, ~119/day, 1,410 forks. Different angle from the token-compression proxies: rather than compressing what goes to the model, it sandboxes tool output completely while persisting session memory and enforcing routing via MCP plus hooks across Claude Co...

lean-ctx is a Rust-based system that sits between AI coding tools and LLMs, compressing file reads by 60-99% and shell output by 60-95% using Tree-sitter AST parsing for 18 languages. Cached re-reads cost only 13 tokens. Works as a standard MCP server with 49 tools. Compatible...
The New Stack's coverage of Cursor 3 leads with a provocative framing: the IDE is now a fallback, not the default. That's deliberately inflammatory. It's also not wrong. Cursor 3 is a full redesign built around an "Agents Window" command hub. The headline feature is multi-agen...
