A Show HN post on September 12 introduced AT Migrator, a tool that converts Airtable bases into working Postgres databases instead of flat exports.
Most Airtable exit paths dump CSVs and leave you rebuilding the relationships by hand. AT Migrator says it keeps them. Linked records become foreign keys, and formulas, rollups and lookups turn into live SQL views or generated columns rather than values frozen at export time. The site offers free public sample bases so you can check the output before paying.
Pricing starts at $199 per base, with higher tiers adding record capacity and downloadable migration scripts. That figure comes from the founder's own site, not an independent source, so treat it as list price rather than a verified market rate.
Bending Spoons closed its $1.28B purchase of Airtable the week before this launched. For a team that just watched its no-code database change hands, a one-time $199 fee to move the data into a database you control is a cheap insurance policy against whatever comes next.
What the site doesn't say is how it handles Airtable's automations, attachments, or view-level permissions. Foreign keys and SQL views cover the data model. They don't cover the workflow layer that a lot of teams built on top of it, and that's the part a straight schema conversion can't reach.
