Automatic Key Exchange probes TLS 1.3 origins to learn which key agreement algorithms they actually support, rather than guessing X25519 first (Cloudflare). The static guess was wrong for about 30% of origins and forced a retry handshake costing two round trips. After the change, 99.2% of post-quantum TLS 1.3 connections complete without a retry and p90 handshake latency dropped more than 150ms. Post-quantum origin traffic is at 45 billion daily connections, which is the number that made a wrong guess expensive.

Cloudflare's WebMCP developer preview uses HTMLRewriter at the edge to inject a bridge script tag into every HTML response, registering MCP tools on document.modelContext (the browser surface shipping experimentally in Chrome 146). Tools arrive as opt-in packs declared via a d...
Cloudflare released @cloudflare/computer on August 3 as day two of Agents Week, and the motivation in the engineering post is the part that should change your architecture thinking. Not speed. Capacity. (Cloudflare Blog) Their stated position: across every hyperscaler, there i...
The recap enumerates roughly two dozen launches: Cloudflare Wallets for agents that can't open a bank account, Cloudflare Mesh unifying agents/humans/multicloud on private networking, Browser Rendering rebranded to Browser Run with Live View and 4x concurrency, WebMCP for maki...
Cloudflare opened a waitlist for its Monetization Gateway, and it's the most interesting new distribution primitive I've seen this quarter. The pitch: charge for any web page, dataset, API, or MCP tool sitting behind Cloudflare, with charges settling peer-to-peer in stablecoin...
This is the most immediately useful pattern I've seen this month. Cloudflare shipped Code Mode MCP, and the numbers are hard to argue with. Their API has 2,500+ endpoints. Exposing each one as a separate MCP tool would consume 1.17 million tokens of context just for tool defin...
Cloudflare shipped Code Mode MCP this week, and the numbers are hard to ignore. They replaced per-endpoint tool definitions with exactly two tools: search() and execute(). That's it. The result? Their own API surface, all 2,500+ endpoints, went from 1.17 million tokens of tool...
