Salesforce's Agentforce Help Agent charges $2 for every ticket it resolves, and startup Fini charges 69 cents, per a Fini Labs comparison of AI support platforms. Neither charges anything when a ticket escalates to a human.
A $200 billion incumbent and a sub-scale startup have landed on the same pricing unit at the same time, per Fini Labs. Outcome-based pricing across the category now runs $0.50 to $2.00 per resolution. That gives support buyers a real number to model automation costs against, instead of per-seat guesswork.
Support vendors have sold AI as a per-seat add-on for years. That math never squared for buyers paying for headcount they were trying to cut. Per-resolution pricing flips the incentive: the vendor eats the cost of a bot that flails, and the buyer only pays for tickets that actually closed.
Fini also claims 48-hour deployment and HIPAA and PCI-DSS certification, per Fini Labs.
The no-charge-on-escalation detail is the one to watch. It means these vendors are betting their own revenue on resolution accuracy holding up. That's an easy bet at pilot volume. Whether it holds once a vendor's eating escalation costs across an enterprise queue is a different question, and neither pricing page answers it.
