Founders Tzahi Mor and Daniel Nakash say code generation is the easy part, a claim CodeRabbit backed with a $143 million raise the same week.
Why now: Both landed in the same Aug. 17 coverage, Clears climbing Product Hunt the same week CodeRabbit closed its raise.
Clears hit #3 on Product Hunt on Aug. 17, pulling 149 upvotes for a pitch that treats code generation as solved. The product, from founders Tzahi Mor and Daniel Nakash, automates task evaluation, context gathering, implementation, validation and deployment. It syncs both ways into tools a team already uses, instead of asking anyone to migrate.
Mor's own framing is the thesis: code generation is becoming the easy part, and the harder problem is everything around it, per Product Hunt. For engineering teams, that reframes where budget goes: not toward writing code, toward evaluating and deploying it.
The timing backs it up. The same week Clears climbed the Product Hunt charts, CodeRabbit raised $143 million to review and govern code that generation tools produce, catching problems before that code ships. Same logic, different company: the valuable layer sits after generation.
My take: when two funded products price their value in verification and deployment instead of generation, code-writing itself is turning into a commodity feature. It gets bundled into a bigger workflow, not sold as its own product. Watch whether standalone code-generation startups start folding review and deployment into their pitch. If they keep selling generation alone, they risk losing ground to products like Clears and CodeRabbit.
