scroll-craft hit 333 stars in a day by having Claude Code verify scroll animations with a screenshot instead of trusting the CSS it wrote.
Why now: As of August 23, one day after the repo went up, this is the only skill in view doing this kind of self-check.
GitHub user nateherkai published scroll-craft, a Claude Code skill and plugin for scroll-driven sites where scroll position drives the animation timeline, on August 22.
CSS can't tell you whether a scroll animation looks right, only that the syntax parsed, and that blind spot is what breaks most visual-code generation. scroll-craft's screenshot step closes it, which is why the repo picked up 333 stars and 61 forks in its first day, per GitHub.
The scroll effects aren't what's worth copying. The verification step is. The skill generates the CSS, screenshots the rendered result, and checks it against what it meant to build before calling the job done.
Most skills that generate visual output skip this because it's extra work. You write the code, assume it renders as intended, and move on. scroll-craft treats that assumption as the failure point instead.
That's one day of data on one repo, and GitHub adoption numbers like that often front-load and fade.
