Drive Blender from a coding agent on macOS with no MCP server at all.

Simon Willison's September 5 TIL scripts Blender headlessly via /Applications/Blender.app/Contents/MacOS/Blender --background --python scene.py, iterating a scene across three renders at 2m39s, 3m51s and 5m59s, then stitching frames with FFmpeg. He packaged it as a reusable skill. The generalization is the useful bit: any Mac app with a scriptable Python API is a first-class agent tool with almost no glue code, and I'd forgotten how many of those I already have installed.
