Sales, ads, CRM and lead-enrichment tools swept the September 8 board, three days after infrastructure took every top slot.
Why now: Product Hunt's September 8 board flipped the pattern the same week's infrastructure-only boards set.
Six of the top ten products on Product Hunt's September 8 leaderboard are agents built for revenue work, not developer infrastructure. Switch led with 506 upvotes, followed by Widgo, an AI sales rep for site visitors, at 412. OpenMarket took 276, Knockin' 213, Relaticle 162, and GoodLads 149. Tables.so rounded out the group at 111.
That's a different board than September 5 and 6, when agent-control tooling swept the top four slots and no end-user product cracked the list at all. Three days later, the categories are sales, ads, CRM and lead enrichment.
The shift matters for anyone deciding where to point agent work next. A board full of infrastructure says builders are still wiring up orchestration, control and monitoring. A board full of sales reps and CRM tools says some of that plumbing is done enough that people are shipping agents users actually pay to talk to.
Widgo's pitch, an agent that talks to your site visitors instead of a form, is the clearest version of that move. It doesn't manage other agents. It replaces a job a human or a chatbot used to do, and it ranked second by upvotes on a single day.
One day of leaderboard data doesn't prove a trend. Product Hunt rankings turn on launch timing and who a founder can rally to vote, not usage or revenue. But the gap between the two boards is wide, all infrastructure on one day and mostly revenue agents three days later. Whether the next few boards keep landing on the sales side or snap back to tooling is worth watching.
