Lightfield, Euno, Harvey and Clay closed $735 million in rounds on September 9, all pointing at the same layer underneath.
Why now: All four rounds closed September 9.
Four AI startups closed funding rounds worth $735 million on September 9. Each pitch named the same flaw, a CRM data model built for a person typing into fields, and investors funded all four within 24 hours.
Lightfield raised $47 million in a Series A led by a16z to rebuild CRM from scratch. Salesforce's objects and fields were built for a person typing and reading, the company argues, and an agent needs something else.
Euno raised $23 million for a live context graph that tracks data lineage, usage, ownership, business logic and governance. An agent gets only the slice relevant to the task at hand instead of the full catalog.
Harvey raised $550 million and is moving to its own models, so client documents stay inside the firm's control.
Clay raised $115 million at a $7.1 billion valuation for go-to-market work built on top of the CRM.
None of the four pitched a better interface. Each blamed the layer underneath, designed around a human operator.

ServiceNow, Salesforce, and HubSpot have each independently created new revenue metrics that measure AI agent output rather than human user counts. ServiceNow's "Agentic ACV" is at $1B run rate. Salesforce's "Agentforce ARR" hit $800M processing 2.4 billion agentic work units....
When one team breaks from an incumbent's design, it's a bet. When five independently funded teams converge on the identical architecture inside a few months, that's a leading indicator. Lightfield, Attio, Reevo, Monaco, and Aurasell were all built on one premise: AI agents pop...
SaaStr's July 21 post argues against the "give agents a Postgres database and let them rip" position with four failure modes: 20+ agents each reinvent business rules without shared logic, downstream billing/BI/marketing need a canonical record, humans still need pipelines and...
The displacement thesis stopped being a projection this week. It's on a balance sheet. Salesforce reported Agentforce hitting $1.2B in ARR, up 205% year-over-year in Q1 FY2027, while filing a June 10 California WARN notice for 86 layoffs, its third reduction round since Septem...
SaaStr frames the AI-CRM market as splitting on architecture, not features. Lightfield and peers (Attio, Monaco, Reevo) pursue full rip-and-replace of Salesforce/HubSpot with self-updating, memory-native systems, while Aurasell layers an AI-native go-to-market OS on top of exi...
This is the most complete production-agent build sheet I've seen anyone publish, and almost every number in it argues against how the rest of us are building agents. Replit disclosed the internals of two production agents at SaaStr AI 2026: 10K, an autonomous VP of Marketing,...
