Salesforce launched a job-ready Agentforce portfolio metered in Agentic Work Units, Zendesk launched Industry and Custom Agents for commerce, and Workable took four recruiting agents to GA on pay-as-you-go credits (Zendesk). Three unrelated categories, CRM, support and HR, converged on the same product shape and three billing units: Flex Credits, AWUs, and per-action credits. There is still no portable way to compare agent cost across vendors, and after this week there are three more units to not compare.

HubSpot: $0.50 per resolved conversation, $1 per qualified lead (launching April 14). Zendesk: $1.50-$2.00 per automated resolution. Intercom: $0.99 per resolution. Three of the top five CRM/support platforms independently converged on resolution-based pricing in the same quar...

The loudest enterprise-agent number of the quarter falls apart when you divide it. SaaStr's breakdown of Salesforce Q2 FY27 (reported August 26, stock up 23%) puts cRPO at $33.5B growing 14% against 11% revenue growth. Agentforce ARR passed $1.5B at +240% on 3.2 billion agenti...

The displacement thesis stopped being a projection this week. It's on a balance sheet. Salesforce reported Agentforce hitting $1.2B in ARR, up 205% year-over-year in Q1 FY2027, while filing a June 10 California WARN notice for 86 layoffs, its third reduction round since Septem...
