Vigilance Security researchers, led by VP of Research Ariel Simon, describe publishing SEO-optimized posts, PDFs, reviews and fake support pages that mix authoritative-looking sources with public-opinion content, so that ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews recommend fraudulent phone numbers and login pages. They counted 374 targeted brands including Delta, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America and Airbnb, with fake HP printer support pages as one worked example.
