Fetching from the wire…
Public story · 2026-08-26 · high
Finance and legal versions launched the same day with no new screens, just domain agents, connectors, and reusable skills wired into existing systems.
Why now: Google Cloud posted both launches on August 25, 2026.
Google Cloud shipped two industry versions of Gemini Enterprise on August 25, one for financial services and one for Gemini Enterprise for legal. Neither ships a new screen or a workflow builder. Firms buying in get a managed domain agent, a library of prebuilt skills (50+ on the finance side), and connectors into their existing systems. That resets what counts as the product in vertical AI software.
Both packages also add MCP connectors into systems of record, A2A APIs for agent-to-agent calls, and an open slot for third-party partner agents. The interface stays whatever screen a firm already runs, for both launches.
For engineering teams weighing build against buy, the calculus tips toward buy wherever the connector list overlaps with the systems they already run. A legal team's edge isn't a nicer interface anymore if the vendor's agent already reaches the firm's systems of record through MCP.
The launch posts don't detail what's in the legal skill library or how it compares to finance's 50+ skills. Neither post gives connector counts for legal. Healthcare and life sciences are next on Google's list.
